Indiana Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages

INTESOL White Paper - Financial Earmarking: Money Follows the Child

Indiana has proposed requesting a waiver to Title III funding guidelines. These guidelines ensure that federal funding goes to multilingual learners of English. If these guidelines are waived, there could be a huge detrimental impact to TESOL in Indiana. Public commentary is open until August 25, 2025 (see a guide for this here). For context, history, and recommendations, Trish Morita-Mullaney and Michelle C.S. Greene have authored a White Paper that you can read here.
