The INTESOL JOURNAL (ITJ) is a professional journal published by the Indiana Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (INTESOL). ITJ encourages the submission of previously unpublished articles on topics of significance to individuals concerned with the teaching of language.
INTESOL is proud to present the Indiana Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages Journal, Volume 17, Issue 1, 2020. The theme of this issue is "Teachers as leaders for change". Research topics include ELLs and high ability pedagogy, a case study of an adult learner's experience with academic literacy, and a description of one school's efforts to cultivate relationships with ELL parents. The cover of this issue features the artwork of Maria Chacin of White River Elementary School in Noblesville, Indiana. Maria is also one of the featured winners of the 2019 ELL K-12 Student Art Award.
